Torma Making Workshop with Wallace Wong

Tormas are traditional food offerings (usually made of marzipan or fondant) that are offered to the Buddhas in various ritual practices and prayers such as empowerments, retreats and chanted prayers. Representing an offering of great bliss, tormas can range from very simple to exquisitely beautiful.

Wallace will lead this hands-on workshop, teaching this beautiful art. He is happy to share his many years of experience making tormas with everyone interested. In this workshop, full instruction and practical demonstration will be given and each participant can create their own tormas.

Timetable

10:30am – 11:00am Introduction
11:00am – 1:00pm Practical session

Teaching in Cantonese with English translation.
